Fitizzy introduces its new partner brand: Côme et Zélie
Fitizzy introduces its new partner brand Côme & Zélie!
Côme & Zélie is a young label making plus-size clothing for children and teenagers. Founded in Brittany, Côme & Zélie is aimed at overweight children, who cannot find anything to wear at brands cut to “standard” sizes and end up having to buy adult sizes. We all know how important it is at that age to be like everyone else and to be able to follow the trends. Its founder, Emmanuelle Carriot, came up with the idea after watching a documentary about overweight children, and is therefore moving into a market where very few brands are present so far.

Côme & Zélie currently offers a girls’ line combining timeless basics (T-shirts, leggings, jeans, etc.) with more fashion-led pieces in step with current trends, where the brand goes looking for originality. The clothes flatter the figure with cuts and fabrics suited to fuller body shapes, such as thick jersey that does not cling to curves, and slim jeans with a cut designed to fit. A boys’ collection should be launched very soon.
Beyond style, the difficulty of finding comfortable clothes that fit children aged 8 to 16 is an issue in its own right. All the more so when you know that in France, more than 15% of children aged 3 to 17 are affected by this problem. So, when it comes to fit, the brand offers 2 sizes per age for every garment in order to suit different builds as closely as possible. Customers can therefore choose between 2 widths, depending on chest, waist and hip measurements, and so on.
Fitizzy is proud to partner with this wonderful project, which shows once again just how many issues there are to tackle in ready-to-wear.
