The concept
Colorblind Apparel® is an independent streetwear brand launched in Toulouse in spring 2013. Its founder loves designing clothes built around original, one-of-a-kind prints created in collaboration with hand-picked artists. He makes a point of ethical commitment, of the outstanding manufacturing quality of the products and of the modern, graphic image the brand wants to project.
“Colorblind”, the English word for someone who cannot tell colours apart, was chosen for its paradoxical side and for the intrigue it sparks in people. The name fits perfectly with the founder’s idea of steering the brand towards multiculturalism and towards championing artists from all over the world. With every collaboration, the brand’s founder makes sure to give the artist pride of place on his blog in order to promote their work.
Colorblind Apparel® is more than just a T-shirt, it’s a philosophy of life!
Colorblind Apparel® was the official partner of the Toulouse international festival Siestes Electroniques for the 2013 and 2014 editions, and produced limited-edition T-shirts for the occasion.
Design by Pierre Vanni, the festival’s artistic director.
A brand with a conscience
Colorblind Apparel® is resolutely ethical, close to the environment and respectful of it. Its collections therefore include a wide range of organic, fair-trade clothing. The brand also stands up for European production. Its beanies are 100% French-made. As for the rest of the collection, the pieces are made mainly in France and Portugal from very high-quality organic jersey cotton.
